With a strong reputation for safety, quality, and integrity, we’re looking to strengthen our team with an experienced and proactive Health and Safety Manager.
The Role
As a Health and Safety Manager, you’ll play a key role in promoting and maintaining a strong health, safety, and environmental (HSE) culture across our project sites. You’ll provide expert advice, ensure compliance with current legislation and company procedures, and support site teams in delivering works safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessments.
- Provide practical HSE guidance to site managers, supervisors, and operatives.
- Support the development and review of RAMS (Risk Assessments & Method Statements).
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses, producing detailed reports and recommendations.
- Deliver toolbox talks, safety briefings, and inductions.
- Maintain and update HSE documentation and records in line with ISO standards.
- Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and regulatory bodies on HSE matters.
Requirements
- NEBOSH General or Construction Certificate (or equivalent).
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a health and safety role within construction or civil engineering.
- Strong knowledge of CDM Regulations and relevant UK health & safety legislation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to influence, advise, and work collaboratively across teams.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to various sites.
