Overview

We are seeking a results-driven Area Sales Representative to join our Steel Division, covering the North/Northeast of Ireland. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing new business, managing existing customer relationships, and driving sales growth within the assigned territory.

Responsibilities

  • Sell steel products to both existing and prospective customers.
  • Establish, develop, and maintain strong customer relationships to build long-term loyalty.
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities while managing and growing existing accounts within the territory.
  • Achieve agreed sales targets and performance objectives.
  • Travel throughout the assigned region to meet current and prospective customers, understand their requirements, and provide appropriate solutions.
  • Negotiate sales agreements and resolve customer issues in a professional and timely manner.
  • Promote product features and benefits to customers.
  • Submit regular sales activity reports, including daily call reports, weekly work plans, and monthly and annual territory updates.
  • Work closely with the internal sales team to maximise opportunities and successfully close sales.

Qualifications

  • Excellent sales, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Ability to perform well under pressure and work towards targets.
  • Proven ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Good IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Willingness and ability to travel throughout the assigned territory.
  • Ability to work remotely when required.
