Forbes Solicitors LLP is looking for an experienced Social Housing Litigation Solicitor with excellent residential leasehold expertise to join our Housing Litigation team at Gordon House. This is a full‑time role (36.25 hours, Monday to Friday, 9 am–5 pm).
You’ll manage a varied, high‑value caseload for registered providers of social housing, delivering expert advice and representation in complex leasehold disputes. This is a great opportunity to step into a key role in a supportive, forward‑thinking team doing challenging and rewarding work.
Key Responsibilities- Run a complex housing litigation caseload with a focus on residential leasehold matters.
- Represent clients at hearings including service charge disputes, forfeiture, lease breaches, and lease extensions or variations.
- Provide strategic legal advice and practical solutions to social housing clients.
We’re interested in candidates with strong experience, sound judgement, and proven leasehold litigation expertise. We welcome applications from Associate, Senior Associate, and Partner‑level candidates.
Essential- Qualified Solicitor or CILEX professional with litigation and advocacy rights.
- Demonstrable experience in complex housing / property litigation, with leasehold expertise.
- Proven ability to manage complex cases, meet deadlines, and deliver excellent client service.
- Confident advocacy skills and experience attending court or tribunal hearings.
- Experience supervising Paralegals/Supervisors.
- Experience acting for social housing clients.
- Good knowledge of the social housing legal and regulatory framework.
- Business development experience and confidence building client relationships.
