As a Waking Night Support Worker, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring people feel safe, supported, and comfortable throughout the night. This is more than just being present; it’s about creating a calm, reassuring environment where people can rest well, maintain their routines, and wake ready to live the day they choose.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Provide safe, attentive, and person‑centred support throughout the night, ensuring comfort, dignity, and wellbeing.
- Respond calmly and proactively to any needs, whether that’s offering reassurance, supporting with personal care, or handling unexpected situations.
- Carry out night‑time routines with kindness and respect, helping people feel secure and valued.
- Monitor and record wellbeing, following care plans and reporting any concerns to the daytime team to ensure seamless support.
- Promote independence wherever possible, encouraging confidence in night‑time routines and decision‑making.
- Create a safe, positive environment where individuals can rest well and wake ready to achieve their goals the next day.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, ensuring consistency and continuity of care between day and night teams.
Please note, this position is for set nights which are Saturday, Sunday and Monday 21:00‑07:00.
