At Hft, we support learning disabled adults to live with independence, confidence and choice. As an Autism Support Practitioner, you’ll play a meaningful role helping people build skills, stay connected to their community and live life their way.
No two days are the same. You could be supporting someone with daily routines, helping them access hobbies and activities, or building confidence with travel and independence.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Support autistic individuals to live independently and achieve their goals
- Provide person‑centred support with daily routines, wellbeing and personal care
- Encourage participation in social, leisure and community activities
- Support with everyday tasks including cooking, shopping, budgeting and travel
- Create safe, positive environments for individuals with behaviours that can challenge
- Work flexibly, including evenings, weekends and sleep‑ins
About You
- Previous experience in supporting individuals with Autism is essential
- Kind, patient and respectful with a positive attitude
- Strong communication and relationship‑building skills
- Confident providing personal support with dignity and compassion
- Flexible and willing to learn and develop within Health & Social Care
