We’re delighted to be working with a wonderful family in Wimbledon to help them find a dedicated and nurturing German-speaking nanny for their bright and curious 3.5-year-old daughter. This is a fantastic role for someone with experience working with children of a similar age, particularly those who are fluent in German, as the little girl is bilingual and her parents are keen to continue fostering her language skills.

The little one is currently in nursery until 4:00pm and will start reception in September 2025. The family is looking for an after-school nanny who can collect her from the nursery (no driving required, it’s all within walking distance) and care for her until around 7:30-8:00pm. Your role will include helping with her bedtime routine, settling her into bed, and keeping her engaged with fun and educational activities in the meantime.

The ideal candidate will have at least two years of professional experience working with children and have worked for one family for at least a year (references required), a valid first aid certificate and DBS, and a patient, reliable, and enthusiastic approach. Fluency in German is essential, as the parents are keen for their daughter to continue learning and speaking the language. Bonus points if you have an interest in science or STEM subjects, as they’d love someone who can nurture her curiosity in these areas and teach her.

Dinner preparation is also part of the role, so if you’re comfortable cooking simple, child-friendly meals (non-vegetarian), that would be a plus. The family is also looking for someone happy to babysit occasionally, around 1-3 times a month.

This is a long-term role, and the family is hoping to find someone who can grow with them as their daughter transitions from nursery to reception. The working hours will shift slightly in September 2025, moving to a 3:00pm start, so flexibility is needed.

If you’re a punctual, reliable, and experienced nanny with a passion for supporting children’s development, we’d love to hear from you. This is a wonderful opportunity to become an integral part of a warm and welcoming family.

If you meet the requirements and are excited about this role, Forbes Nannies is looking forward to hearing from you. Please apply below. Alternatively please send us your CV and cover letter, outlining your relevant experience and why you are the ideal candidate for this position, along with references and relevant certificates, to cv@forbesnannies.com.
