A wonderful and friendly family in Clapham is looking for a warm and engaging nanny to care for their five-year-old son after school, with his two-year-old sister joining them following nursery collection later in the afternoon.
Their son is autistic and has ADHD. He loves Lego, science and books, and enjoys knowing what to expect. The family would love to find someone who can build a trusting relationship with him, follow his interests and create a calm, predictable routine that helps him feel comfortable and secure after his school day.
This will be the family’s first nanny, and the parents welcome the experience and ideas of someone who understands how to support neurodivergent children. Relevant autism and ADHD experience is essential, alongside patience, warmth and a thoughtful approach to helping children navigate transitions.
The afternoons
The nanny will collect their son from school, spend time with him through play and activities, and prepare the children’s meals. On after-school club days, collection is around 4.15pm, but the paid start time remains 3.15pm. This time can be used for meal preparation and light child-related tasks, such as tidying play areas and organising the children’s belongings. Club days may change.
Their daughter will need collecting from nursery each day around 5.30–6pm, before the nanny finishes at 6.15pm.
The arrangement

Monday–Friday, 3.15–6.15pm: 15 guaranteed hours per week.

£23–£25 gross per hour, depending on experience.

A driver is required; a family car can be provided, or mileage reimbursement agreed for use of the nanny’s own car.

Additional school-holiday hours may be available by mutual agreement, particularly for someone keen to plan enjoyable outings and activities.
