Job Description

Along with a proven track record of driving growth in profit and revenue, Forbes Advisor is looking for a candidate who exhibits deep expertise in SEM and has a clear understanding of current SEM best practices. Additionally, the successful candidate will demonstrate strong analytical problem solving skills and the ability to work closely with the Business Development team to identify new revenue opportunities. The ideal candidate will have a strong comfort level with the affiliate marketing business model and experience managing accounts with several million dollars in monthly marketing spend. Experience in the SMB space will be seen as a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Through a team of buyers, ensure monthly profit targets are achieved for each SEM category in the SMB vertical.
  • Develop and upskill junior members of the buying team, including coaching and career progression.
  • Build and maintain a strong relationship with the vertical General Manager.
  • Provide regular reporting and updates on strategy roadmap to the Leadership Team.
  • Set and track quarterly goals (OKR framework) for both yourself and your team.
  • Launch and ramp new categories to grow vertical reach.
  • Work with other functional groups within the company to drive SEM success (revenue operations, CRO, content, data).
  • Collaborate with peers to ensure learnings are shared and applied throughout the marketing organization.
  • Drive team innovation through consistent testing, both on campaign and landing page experiences.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience managing Google SEM campaigns with a consistent track record of results.
  • Deep knowledge of SEM fundamentals and best practices.
  • Team player with all-hands-on-deck attitude and an entrepreneurial mind-set.
  • Self-starter who can work independently without the day-to-day involvement of the Director of SEM.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Strong communication, organizational and collaboration skills.
  • Strong excel skills with the ability to tie data together from various sources.
  • Ability to build out and lead a high performing team.
  • Comfort working in fast-paced high-accountability environments.
