Position: Vehicle Technician – Yeovil Ford workshop. We’re looking for someone who has a passion to continue learning and developing, with a keen eye for detail. Successful candidates receive manufacturer (Ford) and in‑house training to deepen skills and knowledge, with clear training pathways delivered through Ford’s state‑of‑the‑art training hub.
The ideal candidate holds an NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification within the automotive or engineering sector and has previous experience in a vehicle workshop. An MOT qualification would be advantageous but is not essential, as training will be provided for the right candidate.
Responsibilities
- Ford routine maintenance and service checks
- Fault finding and diagnostics
- Producing reports on vehicle health and condition using an electronic health check system and following manufacturer guidelines
- Communicating technical issues to customers using intuitive video software and face‑to‑face interactions
Qualifications
- Perform work efficiently and safely, in line with in‑house processes and standards
- Adapt to changing guidelines
- Have excellent attention to detail
- Hold a full driving licence
- Maintain a positive, can‑do attitude
Hours
Monday to Friday 8.00 am to 5.30 pm, and one Saturday per month 8.00 am to 1.00 pm.
Salary
£35,000 – £45,000 DOE
