The role
The Maintenance Technician has a key role to play within the building’s operation, working alongside supervisors and using our in‑house system (FreshService). They will be responsible for ensuring that visual standards in the buildings are maintained to an excellent standard. The Technician is responsible for carrying out general maintenance tasks assigned via the in‑house booking system and will have multiple projects assigned throughout the portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure that the building you maintain passes visual standard audits
- Complete a minimum of 130 Freshdesk tickets per month with an SLA of 91% or above
- Provide the building manager/team with regular updates to ensure that all maintenance issues are being resolved in a timely manner, using in‑house platforms (FreshService & Viva Engage)
- Carry out daily building walks and create tasks to ensure a high level of visual standards and improve the member experience
- Follow policies and procedures set by FORA and current H&S legislation
- Take ownership of your cleaning standards, ensuring you leave working areas clean and tidy in line with company procedures, as per work‑task guidance procedures
- Plan and organise time and tasks to suit client requests
- Ensure stock levels are maintained and maintenance storage areas are clean, tidy and COSHH compliant
- Provide correct information when ordering parts to ensure quick turnaround
- Maintain regular contact with supervisor, keeping them fully updated of re‑occurring issues, requesting involvement where necessary or appropriate
- Complete accurate and detailed reports when handing over jobs to a third party
Job Requirements
- Confident all‑round knowledge of building maintenance including painting, moving furniture, hanging wall‑mounted items, carpet tiling and building furniture
- Building maintenance experience in a customer‑facing environment
- Good hand/power tool skills
- Experience working with third‑party contractors
- Ability to use reporting and tasks management tools such as FreshService
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
