The Role
We're looking for a Senior Technical Product Owner to take ownership of one of our most business-critical platforms: Salesforce.
This is a rare opportunity to combine product strategy, stakeholder leadership, people management and hands‑on technical expertise in a role with genuine impact across Sales, Marketing, Operations and Technology.
You’ll own the vision, roadmap and continuous evolution of our Salesforce ecosystem and connected business platforms.
Acting as the bridge between business strategy and technology delivery, you’ll turn complex priorities into scalable solutions and measurable outcomes.
You’ll lead internal Salesforce specialists, manage external partners and remain close to the technology, providing leadership while still getting hands‑on with configuration, problem‑solving and platform optimisation.
Approximately 70% of the role will focus on product ownership, stakeholder engagement, people leadership, delivery governance and supplier management, with 30% dedicated to hands‑on technical delivery.
This balance may flex according to business priorities.
Please note this position is 4 days in the office and 1 day working from anywhere.
Why This Role Matters
Salesforce and its connected platforms underpin how our Sales, Marketing and Operations teams work, collaborate and deliver for our members.
Success in this role means creating a clear product direction, improving adoption and operational performance, and ensuring our investment in technology delivers tangible business value.
You’ll help build platforms that are reliable, secure and scalable, while improving data quality, reducing manual processes and strengthening the experience for users and customers.
- What You’ll Be Doing
- Product Strategy & Business Partnership
- Shape and own the vision, strategy and outcome‑led roadmap for Salesforce and its connected platforms.
- Build trusted relationships across Sales, Marketing, Operations, Finance and Technology, turning business needs into clear product priorities.
- Make transparent prioritisation decisions based on customer and business value, strategic alignment, return on investment, risk and available capacity.
- Measure success through adoption, efficiency, customer experience, data quality, revenue enablement and realised business benefits.
- People & Delivery Leadership
- Lead, coach and develop Salesforce and Nexudus administrators, developers and business analysts.
- Create clear priorities and effective ways of working across internal teams, external partners and specialist resources.
- Oversee delivery from discovery through to release, actively managing scope, quality, dependencies, risks and capacity.
- Lead Agile planning, backlog refinement, delivery reviews and retrospectives, creating a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Platform Ownership & Operational Excellence
- Own Salesforce and Nexudus as end‑to‑end business services, covering strategic change, day‑to‑day performance, user support and platform maintenance.
- Strengthen platform reliability, security, data integrity and resilience through effective governance and technical oversight.
- Improve release management, operational support and documentation across the platform ecosystem.
- Identify and prioritise technical debt, helping create more sustainable and scalable platforms as the business grows.
- Technical Leadership & Hands‑on Delivery
- Provide technical leadership across Salesforce and its connected applications, ensuring solutions are secure, maintainable and aligned with platform standards.
- Complete selected Salesforce configuration using Flow, objects, fields, validation rules, permissions, reports and dashboards.
- Apply your knowledge of Apex, SOQL, Lightning Web Components and APIs to review solutions, diagnose issues and support development activity.
- Guide solution design across integrations and data models, helping resolve complex incidents and underlying platform problems.
- Partners, Suppliers & Commercial Value
- Lead relationships with Salesforce, Nexudus, implementation partners, consultants and other technology vendors.
- Hold external partners accountable for delivery quality, service performance, timelines and agreed outcomes.
- Manage supplier performance, statements of work, delivery capacity, licensing and commercial commitments.
- Work closely with Procurement, Finance, Legal and Information Security to strengthen supplier assurance, manage risk and ensure value for money.
Why Fora?
This is more than a traditional Product Owner role.
You’ll shape the platforms connecting several core areas of the business and influence how technology decisions are prioritised, delivered and measured.
You’ll have the autonomy to set product direction, develop internal capability and improve the performance of external partners, while remaining technically close enough to make a direct contribution.
Your work will have a visible impact on how teams operate, how customers experience our services and how Fora continues to scale.
About You
You’re someone who can move confidently between business strategy, delivery leadership and technical detail.
You build credibility by understanding what stakeholders are trying to achieve, asking thoughtful questions and making clear decisions when priorities compete.
You’re comfortable constructively challenging senior stakeholders and explaining the reasoning behind product choices.
You enjoy developing people and creating clarity across multidisciplinary teams.
At the same time, you remain close enough to the technology to assess solutions, guide technical decisions and step into hands‑on delivery when your expertise is needed.
You take an end‑to‑end view of product ownership, recognising that a successful platform depends not only on new features, but also on adoption, reliability, security, data quality, operational support and the responsible management of technical debt.
- What We’re Looking For
- At least five years' experience owning or leading Salesforce products, roadmaps and delivery within a business‑critical environment.
- Experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager, Salesforce Product Lead or in a comparable role
- Strong stakeholder management experience, including the ability to influence senior and executive stakeholders and navigate competing priorities.
- Proven line management experience, including coaching, objective setting, performance management and capability development.
- Experience leading multidisciplinary teams of administrators, developers, business analysts, architects and external specialists.
- Experience managing Salesforce consultancies, delivery partners or technology vendors, including supplier performance, statements of work and service levels.
- Strong hands‑on Salesforce configuration experience, including data modelling, Flow, validation rules, security, permissions, reports and dashboards.
- Working knowledge of Apex, SOQL, Lightning Web Components and Salesforce APIs, with the ability to review solutions and diagnose complex issues.
- Experience governing Salesforce as an end‑to‑end business service, including support, releases, supplier‑delivered change and technical debt
- Evidence of delivering measurable improvements in adoption, efficiency, customer experience, data quality or revenue enablement.
Desirable
- Experience with Pardot, Salesforce CPQ, Docu Sign or Just On.
- Experience integrating Salesforce with SAP, Nexudus, Freshservice or comparable enterprise platforms.
- Experience with Salesforce release management, Dev Ops or CI/CD tooling.
- Recent hands‑on experience with Apex or Lightning Web Components.
- Salesforce, Product Owner, Product Management, Agile or Scrum certification.
