About the Role
This role is 4 days in the office and 1 day WFA. You’ll sit at the heart of our Finance team, taking ownership of end‑to‑end Credit Control across a multi‑site portfolio. This role is about more than chasing debt—you’ll be:
- Driving cash performance and DSO reduction
- Managing escalations, payment plans and complex accounts
- Turning data into clear actions and insight
- Helping us evolve processes, leveraging automation and AI
Key Responsibilities
- Cash & Collections Ownership
- Proactively manage overdue balances across the customer book
- Build strong client relationships while ensuring cash is protected
- Handle escalations, payment plans and complex accounts with confidence and judgment
- Reporting & Insight
- Own and enhance weekly debt and collections reporting
- Translate trends (aged debt, DSO) into clear, actionable insights
- Provide regular updates to Finance and Operations teams
- Process & Performance
- Manage the running cycle and escalation processes
- Oversee cash allocation and reconciliation (bank + receipts)
- Drive improvements in process, efficiency and automation
- Risk & Governance
- Manage failed Direct Debits, deposit top‑ups and account risk
- Issue suspensions, manage terminations and support legal escalations where required
- Handle sensitive client situations with professionalism and commercial judgment
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in Credit Control / Accounts Receivable in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment such as Retail/Hospitality or Real Estate
- Strong Excel and reporting skills (Power BI a plus)
- A commercial mindset—able to balance relationships with cash recovery
- Interest in process improvement and AI/tools within Finance
- Experience in multi‑site or property/flexible workspace environments is beneficial
