The Creative Future Writers’ Award 2026 is an esteemed competition aimed at uncovering undiscovered talent among underrepresented writers. Hosted by Creative Future, this competition offers a platform for writers to share their unique voices in poetry, fiction, and creative non-fiction.
The competition is exclusively open to individuals aged 18 and over, residing in the UK, who haven't published a book in a literary genre. The current theme of the competition is 'Material'. Participants are allowed to submit one piece of work in either of the three categories:
- Poetry with a maximum of 50 lines
- Fiction up to 2,000 words
- Creative Non-Fiction up to 2,000 words
Judging is conducted anonymously to ensure a fair evaluation.
Major cash prizes of up to £25,000 will be awarded to winners in each category (Poetry, Short Story, and Creative Nonfiction).
