Role Description This full-time, on-site Podiatrist role is based at the Tamworth clinic and involves delivering comprehensive foot and lower limb care to a varied patient caseload. Day-to-day responsibilities include assessing, diagnosing, and managing podiatric conditions, performing routine and specialist treatments, and providing evidence-based clinical advice. The role includes conducting biomechanical assessments, prescribing and reviewing orthotic devices, and managing high-risk patients, particularly those living with diabetes. The Podiatrist will maintain accurate clinical records, adhere to relevant professional and regulatory standards, and participate in clinical audits and service development. Collaboration with other healthcare professionals, patient education on self-care, and contribution to a supportive, safe clinical environment are key components of the position.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated clinical expertise in Podiatry and Medicine relevant to foot and lower limb health.
- Strong understanding of Biomechanics and experience with gait analysis and functional assessments.
- Proficiency in prescribing, fitting, and reviewing Orthotics and other podiatric devices.
- Experience in assessing and managing Diabetes-related foot complications and high-risk feet.
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Podiatry and current registration with the appropriate professional regulatory body.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain clinical findings and treatment plans clearly to patients and colleagues.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team in a busy clinical setting.
- Strong clinical record-keeping skills and commitment to infection control, patient safety, and ethical practice.
- Previous experience in private practice or community podiatry is beneficial, along with ongoing commitment to continuing professional development.
