Introduction
Are you a dynamic individual with a passion for learning about early years? This nursery is looking for someone to join their friendly team. Your role will be supporting children aged 6 months to 5 years. You will also be a key person to a small group of children, making learning fun and liaising closely with parents/carers.
About the Employer
We are a small, family owned chain of nurseries offering care to children from 6 months to 5 years. Our nurseries are located in Leytonstone, Chingford, and Walthamstow in East London where we have been serving the community since 2010.
What Youβll Do
- To act as a key person to a group of children, liaising closely and building an effective relationship with parents/carers and ensuring each childβs needs are recognised and met
- To work in partnership with parents/carers and other family members
- To advise the manager of any concerns e.g. health and well being of children, parents or the safety of equipment, preserving confidentiality as necessary
- To teach children, offering an appropriate level of support and stimulating play experiences
- To ensure that children are kept safe and that you understand when to follow child protection procedures
- To actively participate at team meetings, supervision meetings and appraisal meetings
- To attend training courses as required and to take responsibility for personal development
