The predicted salary is between 12 - 15 € per hour.

12 hours per week (9.00am-1.00pm) Termtime only - 38 weeks per year £TBA per hour depending on experience and qualifications - Pension

We are currently looking for an additional and enthusiastic person to join our small pre-school setting and team, as a Pre-School Assistant preferably in January 2026. You must ideally be qualified to Level 3 or above and preferably have some experience of this role or children. Apprenticeships for all ages will also be considered.

To provide a stimulating and varied programme of play and learning opportunities for all children with SEN to ensure they all reach their best possible goals before starting school.

Responsibilities
  • To ensure the safety and well-being of all children whilst in your care
  • To implement strategies to manage behaviour and self-regulation
  • To assist in the setting up and clearing away of all activities and equipment when required.
  • To ensure high standards of hygiene and safety are maintained at all times.
  • To ensure that any information received concerning the children and pre-school is kept confidential at all times.
  • To actively encourage the children’s progress in all areas of development, including different types and stages of play, by interaction and extension of play activities.
  • To be responsible for keeping up to date, record files for your key children.
  • To attend staff meetings as requested.
  • To attend training as requested.
  • To support the work and beliefs of the pre-school by helping to create an environment that promotes open and equal opportunities for all children and adults.
  • To work as part of a team and support colleagues including the Assistant Manager and Manager.
  • To be flexible with the working practices of the pre-school.
  • All applicants must be able to cover additional hours when required.
