Life-changing stories and creative business strategies might not always be synonymous with a fundraising and income generation role, but this opportunity is. Fundraising and charity work is changing and your passion and ability will be the key to our future as a third-sector brand. Footprints is in the position to make a bigger difference than ever before, a Nottingham based charity providing Conductive Education and other services to help children with mobility and communication difficulties. Our work not only brings joy to children’s faces; it brings about tangible, life-enhancing improvements for them and their families.
This is not a traditional fundraising role built on thousands of volunteers with collection tins, nor is it about money manoeuvring to balance sheets and paying bills; instead, it’s about creativity and dynamic proactivity. It’s about aligning fundraising and income with compelling branding and communications. It’s about telling the story of life changing moments.
Looking for a job purpose beyond pound signs? At Footprints, the income you create and generate will drive the life‑changing work and support that will shape the futures of the children we work with now and the hundreds of children and families to come through our doors in the future. Join us to spearhead progressive, creative, and quality driven fundraising and income strategies. Be part of something truly meaningful: stories that inspire pride and purpose, where children once given limited expectations go on to experience lives shaped by hope, potential, and opportunity.
We’re a small charity with big ambition, growing with energy, purpose, and heart. At Footprints, every step forward helps us reach more children and families with life‑changing support, and as we evolve into a broader, more holistic charity, our next chapter will include developing community connections, building strong partnerships with organisations and charities, and creating inspiring corporate fundraising events that champion the work we do.
Our future is about growing the difference Footprints makes working with more children and families, extending the reach of our life changing support, and seeing more people benefit from what we do. This role sits at the heart of that journey: shaping the future of the charity in a way that also helps shape brighter futures for the children and families we support.
Do you offer ...?
- At least three years of fundraising experience or sales experience (any industry is fine).
- An understanding of the third sector from experience or involvement in the charity sector.
- Experience leading a project and / or a team, and if you’ve already worked with volunteers, even better.
- The right person for us will ooze motivation and take great pride in our life‑changing work.
- We’re looking for an entrepreneurial flair for proactivity and creative ideas.
- Assured and confident, you see solutions, not just problems.
In this role, you’ll be doing much more than just leading on fundraising; you’ll work with a dynamic mix of colleagues and inspiring volunteers who will be part of your team, while developing and conceptualising the function of income and fundraising as a slick and creative action built on close liaison with the Head of Communications and strategic oversight from the Charity Manager.
In addition to reporting to our Charity Manager and Trustee Board, your work will span fundraising, corporate and community events, gifts and donations, the development of merchandise, training and courses and much more. You’ll be out and about mostly in the East Midlands, at least initially for about 70% of your time; the remaining 30% won’t be coming into the office to do filing and photocopying, you’ll be in the thick of collaborative and strategic discussions.
The Extras ... 25 days of annual leave, with eight.
