Role Responsibilities

  • Manage all mechanical and electrical (M&E) elements across multiple building projects
  • Review design information, ensuring buildability, compliance, and coordination with construction teams
  • Lead M&E planning from pre-construction through to completion
  • Oversee subcontractors, ensuring high standards of installation, testing, and commissioning
  • Attend design meetings, progress reviews, and site coordination meetings
  • Identify risks, technical issues, and opportunities for value engineering
  • Ensure M&E works are compliant with regulations, standards, and project specifications
  • Coordinate with site teams, commercial departments, and external consultants
  • Maintain thorough documentation, reports, and handover information

About You

  • Proven experience as a Building Services Manager, M&E Manager, or M&E Coordinator in the construction industry
  • Strong technical understanding of both mechanical and electrical systems
  • Background in new build and/or refurbishment projects up to £15m
  • Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and technical documents
  • Excellent communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills
  • Comfortable managing multiple subcontractors and maintaining quality standards
  • Relevant qualifications in mechanical or electrical engineering (preferred)
  • Full UK driving licence
