We are currently partnering with a well-established and highly respected main contractor to appoint a Project Quantity Surveyor for projects based in Liverpool and the wider Merseyside region. The Company: Our client is a financially stable regional contractor with a strong presence across the North West. With projects typically ranging from £5m to £40m, they have built a reputation for quality delivery, strong client relationships, and a collaborative working culture. Due to continued growth and a secured pipeline of work in Liverpool, they are looking to strengthen their commercial team with an ambitious Project Quantity Surveyor.
The Role: As Project Quantity Surveyor, you will take commercial responsibility for projects from procurement through to final account. Reporting to a Senior Quantity Surveyor or Commercial Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring financial performance and contractual compliance.
- Managing project costs from pre-construction through delivery
- Procurement of subcontract packages
- Preparing and managing subcontract documentation
- Valuations, variations, and change control
- Cost reporting and forecasting
- Managing interim applications and final accounts
- Supporting risk and value management processes
- Liaising with site teams and clients
About You: We are seeking a commercially astute, proactive professional with experience working for a main contractor.
Essential Experience:- 3-7+ years experience in a Quantity Surveying role
- Experience working on projects £5m+
- Strong understanding of JCT contracts
- Ability to manage subcontract accounts independently
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management
- Experience across commercial or residential sectors
- Working towards or achieved MRICS (preferred but not essential)
