We are currently working on behalf of a well-established civil engineering contractor who are looking to appoint an experienced Contracts Manager to oversee projects across the Greater Manchester area. Our client delivers a range of civil engineering and utility infrastructure projects, including works associated with water and wastewater networks, and due to continued growth they are looking to strengthen their senior operational team.
The Role
- As Contracts Manager, you will be responsible for the successful delivery of multiple civil engineering and utilities projects, ensuring works are completed safely, on programme and within budget.
- You will manage site teams and Site Managers, coordinate resources and maintain strong working relationships with clients and stakeholders across the framework.
- Managing multiple civil engineering and utilities projects.
- Overseeing and supporting Site Managers and delivery teams.
- Ensuring projects are delivered safely, on programme and within budget.
- Coordinating labour, plant, subcontractors and materials.
- Monitoring programme, progress and commercial performance.
- Ensuring compliance with health & safety, environmental and quality standards.
- Reporting project progress to senior management.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Contracts Manager or Senior Project Manager within civil engineering or utilities.
- Experience working on water, wastewater or infrastructure frameworks.
- SMSTS.
- CSCS Card.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and site teams simultaneously.
