We are currently working on behalf of a well-established civil engineering contractor who are looking to appoint an experienced Site Manager to support the delivery of projects across the Stretford and Greater Manchester area. Our client delivers a range of infrastructure and utility projects, working closely with major frameworks including works associated with water and wastewater infrastructure across the region. Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of work, they are looking to strengthen their site management team.

The Role

As Site Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of civil engineering projects, ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme and to a high standard. You will work closely with Contracts Managers, engineers and operational teams to coordinate activities and ensure smooth delivery on site.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing civil engineering and utility infrastructure projects
  • Supervising site teams, subcontractors and suppliers
  • Ensuring compliance with health & safety regulations and industry standards
  • Coordinating plant, materials and labour on site
  • Monitoring project progress and reporting to senior management
  • Maintaining site documentation and records
  • Liaising with clients, stakeholders and operational teams
  • Ensuring projects are delivered on time and within scope

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Site Manager within civil engineering or utilities
  • Experience working on water, wastewater or infrastructure projects is highly desirable
  • SMSTS
  • CSCS Card
  • First Aid (preferred)
  • Strong organisational and leadership skills
  • Ability to manage site teams and subcontractors effectively
