Role Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Bid Writer to join our team. You will be responsible for producing high-quality written content to support tender submissions, PQQs (Pre-Qualification Questionnaires), and framework applications. Youll work closely with the estimating, commercial, and project delivery teams to ensure our bids are compelling, compliant, and competitive.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, write, and edit bid submissions for public and private sector clients.
- Manage the end-to-end bid process in collaboration with the pre-construction team.
- Research clients, projects, and sectors to tailor bids effectively.
- Develop and maintain a library of standard responses, case studies, and supporting documents.
- Ensure submissions comply with all client requirements and deadlines.
- Support the wider business with written content for award submissions, capability statements, and marketing materials.
- Conduct post-bid reviews and incorporate feedback to improve future submissions.
Skills & Experience Required
- Proven experience as a Bid Writer, ideally within construction or a related industry.
- Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
- Strong understanding of tendering procedures and procurement frameworks.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
- A proactive and collaborative approach.
Desirable Qualifications
- Degree in English, Marketing, Journalism, or Construction Management (or equivalent experience).
- APMP or other bid/proposal writing accreditation is a plus.
