Role Description The Paraplanner/Senior Financial Planning Assistant will support the team by preparing detailed client reports, suitability letters, and recommendation summaries, primarily across investments, pensions, estate planning, and retirement strategies. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting research and analysis on financial products, modelling client scenarios, maintaining accurate client records, and ensuring documentation meets regulatory and compliance standards. The role involves working closely with adviser to prepare for client meetings, collate and interpret data, follow up on actions, and help implement agreed recommendations. The team member will also assist with workflow management, liaise with providers, and contribute to process improvements that enhance client service quality. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Barnt Green.
Qualifications
- Strong Financial Planning and Finance skills, with the ability to interpret and apply financial concepts to client scenarios.
- Robust Analytical Skills to research products, compare solutions, and produce accurate calculations and reports.
- Excellent Communication abilities, including clear written reporting and professional verbal communication with clients and providers.
- Solid Administrative Assistance capabilities, including document management, data entry accuracy, and workflow coordination.
- Relevant professional qualifications (e.g., progress toward or completion of Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning or equivalent) are highly beneficial.
- Knowledge of UK financial regulations and FCA requirements, particularly in investments, pensions, and retirement planning.
- Proficiency in financial planning software, CRM systems, IO, and Microsoft Office (especially Excel and Word).
- High attention to detail, strong organisational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a time-sensitive environment.
- Commitment to ethical practice, client-centric service, and ongoing professional development.
