This is a newly created role in the London-based Finance team that will work closely with the HR team to help ensure that the monthly payroll properly reflects employee benefits and that associated payments are made accurately and timely. The Group outsources its payroll function to Papaya, an external payroll provider, who engages in-country partners. The HR team will continue to be responsible for the maintenance and update of the Groupβs HR platform, BambooHR, ensuring that this platform correctly reflects employee data, including benefits.
This role will also ensure that the payroll postings to the accounting ledger made by the General Ledger (GL) team in Poland are accurate. Generally, this role supports payroll operations by assisting with tasks like payroll processing, data entry and reporting.
- Review the monthly payroll inputs from HR, align to the draft UK payroll files from the external provider to ensure changes are reconciled and valid.
- Monthly review of the payroll liability account investigating and resolving any reconciling items globally.
- Monthly review of the pension input files.
- Main administrator for the UK private medical insurance scheme and the main point of contact.
- Managing and reviewing the PAYE HMRC account.
- Review and assess the payroll processes and controls across the Group for all payrolls and work closely with the Group Financial Controller (GFC) to implement identified and agreed improvements to these processes and controls.
- Assist the HR team with ad hoc tax year-end and freelancer reporting.
- Assist the GFC and Statutory Reporting Manager with Group financial year-end reporting relating to staff costs for audits.
1+ years proven experience in payroll administration.
Effective analytical skills & confident with MS Excel.
Ability to work collegiately with payroll/HR/finance colleagues & business customers.
Good eye for detail & very numerate as well as comfortable with high volume of data.
