About the Role
Footballco’s commercial and client services team is seeking an experienced Account Director to lead the delivery of high-impact commercial campaigns across the globe. Reporting into the Head of Client Services, you will oversee and grow a portfolio of client campaigns, ensuring they are activated seamlessly, optimised effectively, and supported with clear, insightful reporting. You will be a driving force behind new initiatives across our owned platforms, helping to elevate our commercial output and deliver best-in-class work.
This opportunity is ideal for someone who has spent several years in a senior client handling role, with a proven track record of delivering world-class campaign work. If you bring experience from an agency, rights holder, or brand – especially working on digitally and socially-led football content campaigns aimed at sports fans and if you truly understand the sports media landscape and the power of social engagement, we want to hear from you.
This position is based in our London offices (Holborn).
What You’ll Be Doing
- Campaign delivery: Lead the end-to-end delivery of campaigns, ensuring exceptional standards at every stage.
- Creative understanding: Guide content and creative teams using your understanding of media platform formats and styles of creatives that work best on each platform.
- Strategy & planning: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to deliver to deadline and to brief.
- Client management: Manage and nurture client relationships, acting as a trusted strategic partner.
- Reporting & insights: Provide in-depth reporting and analysis to uncover insights during and after campaigns.
- Leadership & role model: Mentor and support junior team members in their professional development.
- Commercial knowhow: Demonstrate a deep understanding of campaign commercials, regularly driving renewals and upsells.
- Creating and presenting client-facing decks: Be able to create & deliver presentations to external stakeholders which tell strong stories and nurture relationships with key clients.
- Process driven: Learn, follow and where possible improve internal processes.
What You Have
- Extensive experience working in a senior account handling role within an agency, rights holder or brand environment preferably in sport.
- Extensive knowledge of sports media, digital marketing and the social media space.
- Experience of working with brands, leagues or broadcasters on social media platforms.
- Excellent organisational and project management skills with the ability to juggle and prioritise multiple clients and tasks.
- Managing budgets and invoicing.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Excellent people management and communication skills with the ability to communicate at all levels.
- Ability to work across multiple teams.
- A high degree of self-motivation.
- A committed, positive and proactive approach.
