ABOUT THE ROLE
This role is based in our Leeds or London office.
We’re looking for a strong, ideas led Designer to join our Brand Design team. You’ll be someone who can confidently develop visual identities, challenge briefs, and bring thoughtful, high impact work to the table alongside other designers and independently.
You’ll have an eye for detail, a sharp visual instinct, and a passion for pushing the work beyond the initial ask. Someone who sees the potential in a brief and is happy to challenge it to find visual excellence! You’ll help shape the brand expression of all of our properties – working across visual identity, show branding, social toolkits, marketing material, events, merch, editorial and print. The scope is wide, and the creative ceiling is high.
You should be comfortable with a range of design functions, from logo design, visual systems to social layouts and decks. Experience in editorial and print design is preferred, particularly to support the development of our flagship publication, MUNDIAL Magazine. You’ll be happy to get stuck into everyday jobs when needed, and always looking for a way to make the work better. You’ll be joining a small but mighty design team working at the heart of a fast growing, global company, and a passion for design.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
- Designing across brand identity, social templates, original shows, merchandise, events, editorial and print.
- Working cross functionally with multiple departments, and multiple regions.
- Contributing ideas that push the work beyond the brief. Not just responding to what’s asked, but showing what’s possible.
- Collaborating to build out bold visual systems across multiple brands.
- Switching gears easily between quick-turnaround jobs and deeper creative work.
- Maintaining design standards across every touchpoint, from layout to typography to logo work.
- Being proactive, thoughtful, and unafraid to challenge or lead when the idea’s right.
WHAT YOU HAVE:
- 3–5 years of experience working in brand or studio environments.
- A portfolio that shows great taste and execution. With standout brand identity, typography, editorial, and layout work.
- Strong, proven experience with Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign.
- Experience in print design is preferred, particularly within editorial or magazine formats.
- Great organisation and communication skills with the team.
- Confident presenting and explaining ideas.
- Someone who’s hungry to do great work and not afraid to put ideas forward or push back when needed.
- A strong work ethic and passion for the craft and creative process.
- An appreciation for precision, whether it’s in kerning, grid systems, or file organisation.
- A love of good design, and a real sense for what makes it work.
