ABOUT THE ROLE
The Junior Technical Project Manager will be responsible for delivering end to end projects and feature requests against the technology department product roadmap.
Reporting into the Technical Program Manager, the position will work alongside product managers, designers and engineering team leads to manage the delivery of key projects and feature requests, focusing on prioritising items that add the greatest value to Footballco and making sure items are delivered to agreed timescales.
The Junior Technical Project Manager will instill the process designed by the program manager to manage the global delivery of the product roadmap. Making sure project plans, designs, requirements, and technical specs are of good quality and all projects are monitored and managed in appropriate tools. Providing stakeholders with updates and helping technical leaders to prioritise against available resources.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
- Global delivery of key items on the technology roadmap
- Technical problem solving with engineering leaders to release bottlenecks in delivery
- Manage daily standups and ceremonies with software engineering teams
- Resource planning and capacity management within the software engineering teams
- With the Technical Program Manager, ensuring a project delivery framework is adhered to for all projects and feature requests
- With Product management, define each project scope, goals and deliverables
- Define the responsibilities of key stakeholders involved in each project, including senior management, customers, project teams, vendors, and other affected parties.
- Facilitate collaboration between cross-functional teams and external partners to drive project success.
- Track project performance using appropriate tools and techniques to ensure timely delivery and achievement of goals. Provide detailed reports and updates to senior technology leadership and stakeholders on project progress, risks, and performance metrics.
- Identify, manage, and escalate project risks and issues where necessary, and ensure proactive contingency planning to minimise impact on business operations.
WHAT YOU HAVE
- Experience leading frontend and backend technical projects
- Strong experience managing software engineering sprint planning and resource management
- Experience working with in-house development teams
- Proficient in agile project management frameworks and methodologies (scrum and Kanban)
- Previous experience using project management tools such as Jira and Click Up
