Job Description
The Independent Football Regulator (IFR) protects and promotes the sustainability of English football, safeguarding financial resilience and heritage.
This role is responsible for leading enforcement investigations and coordinating efforts to reduce illicit finance within the professional game.
Responsibilities
- Develop the enforcement strategy, portfolio, policies and procedures.
- Lead investigations and high‑profile case work.
- Coordinate the IFR anti‑illicit finance strategy with supervisors and stakeholders.
- Ensure alignment with data, policy, legal and supervision teams to support the board.
Essential Requirements
- Proven experience in regulatory, civil or criminal enforcement investigations.
- Experience or knowledge of illicit finance/financial crime supervision frameworks.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Sound judgement with evidence‑based decision making.
- Strong delivery capability in complex, high‑risk environments.
