Role Description

The Lead Coach will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging, fun, and inclusive football coaching sessions for children of various ages and skill levels. Responsibilities include:

  • Organizing activities
  • Ensuring participant safety
  • Mentoring junior coaches
  • Fostering a welcoming environment for all attendees

The role is part-time and will require commitment during evenings and weekends. This is an on-site position located in Newcastle.

Qualifications

  • Coaching and teaching skills specific to organizing and delivering football sessions for children
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with children, parents, and team members
  • Basic knowledge of first aid and child safeguarding procedures
  • Passion for youth sports and promoting inclusivity and fun through football
  • Reliability, punctuality, and strong organisational skills
  • A coaching qualification in football (e.g., FA Level 1 or higher) is preferred
  • A valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle is essential
