PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
To support with the development and strategic delivery across all FAW National Leagues.
KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY OR RESPONSIBILITY
- To support with the delivery and implementation of the Cymru Leagues and Adran Leagues strategies.
- To assist with the delivery of projects designed to grow the profile, visibility and overall development of the leagues, including Cymru Football TV.
- To help manage and track any benchmarking and performance reporting systems to aid with measuring league development.
- To support with reviewing competition formats, structures and games programmes to ensure competitions are built for purpose.
- To support with the development of league rules, regulations, guidance notes and competition calendars.
- To assist with preparing and delivering league-wide consultations and stakeholder engagement on strategic and developmental matters.
- To work closely and collaboratively with the Operations and Club Development teams to identify common areas of weakness across clubs and leagues to support the future growth of domestic football.
- To build relationships with other Leagues & National Associations as part of knowledge sharing exercises.
- To support the embedding of safeguarding standards across all FAW National Leagues, promoting safe and inclusive football environments.
- To work collaboratively with the FAW Safeguarding Team to identify emerging safeguarding risks and support proactive interventions across the leagues.
- To support clubs in meeting FAW safeguarding requirements and promoting good safeguarding practice through league engagement and development activities.
- To ensure safeguarding considerations are incorporated into league development initiatives, club support and stakeholder engagement.

PERSON SPECIFICATION
Knowledge/Skills/Experience - Essential
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive working relationships with clubs, volunteers and stakeholders.
- A proactive approach with strong attention to detail and a commitment to continuous improvement.
- Good organisational skills; to enable prioritising workload whilst working across multiple projects.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make informed recommendations.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively across operational, club development, commercial, marketing and communications functions.
- Good understanding of sporting environments.
Knowledge/Skills/Experience - Desirable
- Experience working in or understanding of the professional sporting landscape at governing body, league or club level.
- Experience of organising competitions, events or development initiatives.
QUALIFICATIONS
Preferably, educated to degree level or equivalent work experience.
ROLE SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS
- The successful applicant will be subject to a DBS check on appointment.
- The ability to speak Welsh would be advantageous.
- The ability to make their own way to clubs and grounds around Wales regularly.
- The post holder will at times, be required to perform their duties, or additional work, or attend training, outside of normal office hours and/or in different locations, either domestically or internationally.
