We are looking for an ambitious, highly motivated and passionate Junior Product Developer to join our in-house "Own Brand" Design Centre team at Footasylum.

We are home to multiple brands across men's, women's, kid's and accessories.

This Role gives great opportunity to the right candidate to work on Footasylum's "own brands" such as Zavetti Canada, KWD, Alessandro Zavetti and many more.

The Product Development Team functions as a part of the larger Design Centre and we work extremely closely with Apparel Design, Buying and Merchandising.

  • Working to a critical path to ensure that the development process is smooth and that the ex-factory dates are maintained.
  • Liaising with factories to chase in lab dips, strike offs, samples etc. and checking submissions alongside senior members of the team.
  • Assist and learning with product developer's guidance and ensuring that the products follow all safety standards and meet minimum requirements on testing.

Understand grade rules across all categories.

  • Visit the warehouse regularly to undertake QC checks.
  • Assist with measuring & sending comments on own brand samples across men's, women's, juniors and accessories.
  • QC bulk production and feedback to factories, responsible for keeping QC log up to date by liaising with all relevant teams.
  • Responsible for creating AQL inspection sheets and measurement sheets for 3rd party inspections (EKOL) and updating master AQL sheets for factories.
  • Responsible for ensuring all photo samples and SMS are arranged when needed and logged correctly.
  • Send parcels with trims/ submissions/samples to factories for the team.

The successful candidate should have a minimum of 1-2 years previous experience within the Highstreet Fashion Industry working across Mens, Ladies, Juniors and accessories.

This role is office based but you will be required to travel to our warehouse to undertake QC checks.

You must have excellent organisation skills to aid with general day to day responsibilities such as including organising samples, archiving old samples & creating/removing submission files.

  • You should be self-motivated and have good time management with the ability to adapt and work to tight deadlines and delivers results within specified time frames
  • A pro-active approach and being able to show initiative are essential.
