We are looking for a Financial Controller to head up the Reporting and Transactional Finance teams and to act as a true partner to the Finance Director. The role is varied and will be split between reporting, control and compliance with key responsibilities around capital expenditure and risk management.
The role will report into the Finance Director but will also work closely with FP&A, Business Partnering and Procurement. The role will head up the reporting team (management accounts as well as other statutory and stakeholder reporting) and transactional teams (incl. cash and banking, accounts payable, and accounts receivable). In the area of CAPEX there will be requirements to partner with the wider business around capital projects and budgets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee Management Reporting and Month End
- Lead on Statutory Reporting and Audit
- Manage Stakeholder Reporting (Aurelius, Banks etc.)
- UK and overseas VAT returns (incl. liaising with tax advisors)
- Corporation tax (incl. Capital Allowances, Transfer Pricing, R&D etc.)
- Lead on the group's insurance policies and risk management activity
- Manage FX risk through hedging activities
- Support on cashflow forecasting and liquidity management
- Ensure strong balance sheet controls and reconciliation
- Overseeing the transactional financial function including supplier and customer relationship management
- Budgeting and reporting capital expenditure; includes partnering the business on key capex/investment decisions
- Management of IFRS 16 Leases
