The Role:
Reporting to the Buying Manager, you will work towards taking full ownership of selected brands within SEVENSTORE’s roster, with support from the Buying Manager and wider buying team. You will have a direct influence on the business, working closely with other departments to ensure any commercial opportunities are maximised, whilst maintaining the SEVENSTORE brand.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and develop brand portfolio
- Develop relationships with existing suppliers and seek new ones
- Manage brand relationships confidently and competently
- Maintain communication with brands, identify issues, and take appropriate action
- Ensure excellent communication with other departments
- Prepare brand mix/category reports and planners
- Contribute to category buying strategy with consumer-centric insights
- Attend key meetings supporting the Buying Manager
- Own and be accountable for your brands
- Research and initiate new business opportunities
- Participate in trade and strategy meetings
- Research and present brand, product, and consumer profiles for insights
- Conduct research trips to stores, competitors, and relevant events to identify trends and present findings
Requirements:
- At least 2 years of experience in a multi-category buying department
- Strong commercial awareness
- Excellent communication skills
- Good market awareness and understanding of SEVENSTORE’s position within the ecosystem
