Our Court of Protection team plays a vital role in supporting some of the most vulnerable individuals in our communities – people who lack capacity to manage their own property and financial affairs. You’ll help deliver high‑quality, compassionate legal support that directly improves clients’ day‑to‑day lives.
What you’ll do:
- You’ll be a vital part of a team recognised for its expertise and compassion, contributing to meaningful outcomes for vulnerable individuals.
- Assist with managing the property and financial affairs of clients who lack capacity, ensuring decisions are made in their best interests.
- Draft applications, letters, witness statements and other Court of Protection paperwork with clarity and accuracy.
- Attend client meetings, take detailed notes, and help maintain strong, supportive relationships with clients, families, and care providers.
- Support the team with file management and day‑to‑day administration.
What we’re looking for:
- Previous experience in a Paralegal role is helpful, but not required.
- Able to provide reliable, high‑quality administrative support.
- A genuine interest and/or prior experience in Court of Protection matters.
- Related experience in care, banking or property management would also be welcome.
- An ability to handle sensitive client information with tact and empathy.
- Highly flexible approach, able to work effectively as part of a busy team.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships.
- Proven organisational skills and the ability to manage time effectively.
- Strong IT skills including confident use of MS Outlook, Word and Excel.
