What you'll do: As a Paralegal you will assist the team with a full range of clinician negligence cases (medical negligence). Cases will be focused on brain injury, spinal injury, birth injury, delay in diagnosis, negligent surgery, and fatal claims. In this role, you’ll:

  • Work with well-respected and nationally recognised peers with decades of experience in high value complex litigation.
  • Attend and take notes of meetings, as well as attend court/conferences with counsel.
  • Draft relevant documentation and provide legal and admin support to senior lawyers.
  • Carry out research into quantum, legislation, and case law.
  • Assist with business development where appropriate.
  • Support the team with file management.
  • Take new enquiries and deal with other professionals and clients as required.

What we're looking for: We’re seeking someone who thrives in a fast-paced, client-focused environment and brings:

  • Experience or basic knowledge/interest in medical negligence.
  • Experience of dealing with client information with tact and sensitivity, and the ability to discuss matters with clients in a sympathetic manner.
  • A highly flexible approach and the ability to work well and flourish in a team environment.
  • Excellent all-round communication skills, including the capability to develop and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Excellent IT skills with an in-depth knowledge of MS Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Great time management and organisational ability.
