This is an opportunity to support our Clinical Negligence practice by delivering essential secretarial and administrative assistance that contributes directly to the group’s success. Please note: Regular attendance at our Bristol office is required to support collaboration and client service delivery.
What you’ll do:
- Supporting our fee earners in Clinical Negligence, you will be involved in a variety of interesting tasks including, but not limited to, the following:
- Produce and amend precedent letters and house‑style documents.
- Take responsibility for all travel and diary management and ensuring the lawyers have everything required for their meetings.
- File opening and accompanying maintenance procedures; to include production of precedent terms of business letters, confirmation of instruction letters, ID checks and the entering of entities and capacities on each new client/matter file.
- Audio and copy typing letters, notes and documents.
- Organise conferences with Counsel and medical experts.
- Put together bundles of documents for Counsel, medical experts and the Court.
- Support with good financial management for each case including paying invoices etc.
- Respond to queries from clients and other stakeholders on behalf of the lawyers, ensuring excellent and clear communication at all times.
- Assist and support others within the team with meeting targets and objectives, and assist with ad hoc projects and duties when required.
What we’re looking for:
- A proven track record of providing high quality administration / secretarial support within a legal/professional services environment.
- Some experience of working in Clinical Negligence, PI, or Litigation.
- Strong Word, Excel, Case Management, PDF docs and PowerPoint skills.
- Excellent organisational, communication and stakeholder management skills.
- The ability to deal with highly confidential information with tact and sensitivity.
- Superb attention to detail and accuracy (verbal, written, and numerical).
- The desire to work in a fast paced, collaborative, and friendly team.
