What you’ll do

We're looking for an experienced and proactive events professional to manage and maintain our established programme of internal and external events, delivered both in-person and virtually, during a period of maternity cover. Working closely with colleagues across Client Development, sector teams and the wider business and group, you'll ensure our events (external and internal) are delivered to a consistently high standard, effectively promoted, supported on-site, aligned to commercial objectives, and provide an exceptional experience for clients and contacts.

In this role, you’ll:

  • Events programme management: Manage the delivery and on-site support of the firm's programme of internal and external events, both in-person and virtual, ensuring activity supports sector priorities, client engagement objectives and wider business development campaigns. Ensure event outcomes (attendance and ROI) are tracked and reported.
  • Stakeholder engagement: Work closely with partners, lawyers and colleagues across Client Development to coordinate event activity, provide guidance on best practice and ensure events meet agreed objectives.
  • Events marketing and promotion: Develop and deliver event marketing activity, including audience targeting, invitations, attendee communications, website content and promotional campaigns to maximise attendance and engagement.
  • Project management: Manage multiple events simultaneously, ensuring all activity is delivered on time, within budget and to a consistently high standard.
  • Events delivery: Coordinate end-to-end event logistics, including venue sourcing, supplier management, registrations, event technology platforms and on-site delivery for key events.
  • External profile raising: Support the firm's involvement in external events, sponsorships and speaking opportunities, helping to maximise visibility and engagement with key audiences.
  • Collaboration: Work alongside Strategic Communications, Business Development and Client Suite teams to ensure a joined-up approach to event delivery and client experience.
  • Insights & reporting: Monitor attendance, engagement and event outcomes, producing reporting and recommendations to demonstrate value and support continuous improvement.
  • Supplier & budget management: Manage event budgets and relationships with venues, agencies and suppliers, ensuring effective delivery and return on investment.

What we’re looking for

We’re seeking someone who thrives in a fast-paced, client-focused environment and brings:

  • Experience & expertise: Proven experience delivering B2B events, ideally within professional services or a similarly relationship-driven environment.
  • Commercial awareness: An understanding of how events contribute to business development, client engagement and sector-focused marketing activity.
  • Project management & organisation: Highly organised, detail-focused and capable of managing multiple priorities, deadlines and stakeholders simultaneously.
  • Marketing & engagement: Experience promoting events and driving attendee engagement through effective communications and marketing activity.
  • Problem solving & adaptability: A proactive and solutions-focused approach, with the ability to respond effectively to changing priorities and event requirements.
  • Attitude & teamwork: Positive, collaborative and self-motivated, with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality experiences and maintaining best practice across all event activity.
  • Initiative & ownership: A proactive self-starter who is comfortable working autonomously, taking ownership of projects from inception to completion and confidently managing competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Technology & systems: Experience using event management platforms, CRM systems and Microsoft Office applications to support event delivery, attendee engagement and reporting.
  • Sports & sponsorship activation: Experience supporting or delivering sports-related events, sponsorship activations or hospitality programmes would be highly desirable.
  • Data & reporting: Comfortable analysing event performance, attendance and engagement metrics to measure success and identify opportunities for improvement.
