This is a pivotal role within our Commercial team, providing proactive and high quality support to the Head of Commercial, whilst also assisting colleagues across the wider practice group where required. You’ll help reduce administrative demands on the Partner, enabling greater focus on clients, business development and commercial delivery. Acting as a trusted point of contact, you’ll build strong relationships across the firm, ensure day-to-day operations run smoothly and contribute to the success of a collaborative, fast-paced team.
In this role, you’ll:
- Provide proactive administrative and PA support to the Partner and wider Commercial team.
- Take ownership of diary management, meeting scheduling and team communications.
- Use initiative to identify urgent issues, manage competing priorities and ensure timely action is taken.
- Prepare for meetings, including creating agendas, minutes and follow-up actions.
- Act as the first point of contact for client enquiries, managing requests professionally and efficiently.
- Deal with client and matter onboarding, conflict checks/file-opening.
- Provide billing support such as time-recording queries, invoice preparation and follow up.
- Plan and co-ordinate business travel, accommodation and logistics arrangements.
- Collaborate with teams across the business, including HR, Accounts and Business Development, on a range of day-to-day activities.
- Create presentations, reports, spreadsheets and other business documents to support the team.
- Undertake research and administrative projects, ensuring output is accurate and delivered to a high standard.
- Build strong working relationships with colleagues across legal teams, identifying opportunities for collaboration and knowledge sharing.
- Support colleagues within the wider Commercial team, proactively offering assistance during busy periods.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant policies, procedures and regulatory obligations, including Data Protection, Diversity and Inclusion, and Health & Safety requirements.

- A proven track record of delivering high-quality PA or administrative support within a professional environment.
- Outstanding organisational skills with the ability to manage a busy and varied workload.
- Excellent prioritisation skills and the confidence to adapt quickly when priorities change.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage effectively at all levels.
- Experience working within a professional services organisation.
- Experience in a legal environment would be advantageous but is not essential.
- Excellent attention to detail and a proactive, solutions-focused approach.
- Strong IT skills across Microsoft Office and other business systems.
- A commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
- A collaborative mindset and willingness to support colleagues across teams.
