This is a unique opportunity to join a team of highly driven, specialist Mental Capacity/Court of Protection lawyers. You will have every opportunity to develop your experience and further your career in an ambitious, collaborative and supportive setting.
The Mental Capacity team specialises in helping those who are no longer able to look after themselves, acting as professional attorneys or deputies to help with financial affairs and advising on the law regarding health and welfare. In this role, you’ll:
- Be a part of our large (and growing) Mental Capacity team which specialises in complex property and affairs cases.
- Lead on a wide range of mental capacity cases.
- Be central to the continued success of the team, developing your own client relationships and driving business development initiatives.
- Have extensive client contact, good quality work, and the opportunity to develop junior lawyers and trainees.
- Work with well-respected and nationally recognised peers with a proven track record of supporting clients with unique and complex needs.
You will be highly motivated and solution-focussed to deliver the best service to your clients. You will be keen to take on responsibilities for driving client relationships forward to build strong professional connections with our Mental Capacity clients, and gain the insights and expertise needed to offer hands-on, practical advice to them on an ongoing basis; we will provide you with every opportunity to do this within a supportive team environment. You’ll have extensive experience of dealing with client information with tact and sensitivity, and the ability to discuss matters with clients in a sympathetic manner. You’ll share our passion for innovation, collaboration, and achieving great things together.
