What you’ll do
The primary objective is to support operational excellence within the legal teams by providing essential assistance for client service transformation, collaborating with leadership to uphold our high standards of working practices.
In this role, you’ll:
- Work with the Executive Director of Legal Operations, Practice Group Leads and professional support teams to affect strategy set by the firm.
- Help improve understanding and housekeeping requirements of key financial information.
- Analyse and understand data to maximise value from legal resources, technology and spend.
- Deliver measurable improvements in efficiency, quality and service.
- Provide analytical commentary on management information to inform leaders when decision making.
- Work with our Finance Business Partners to gather analysis and deliver insight on our clients and matters and how this flows through to contribution (profitability).
- Drive our business tools to assist in pricing and profitability decisions - where necessary, getting best value from our investments as well as supporting suggestions for change.
- Suggest and lead change, to ensure key operational and financial targets are delivered.
- Measure effectiveness and seek feedback from others on progress and input into helping design and develop improvements.
- Be the conduit between legal teams and support functions re new efficiency projects.
- Build partnerships and maintain relationships with senior stakeholders across the business.
- Support Case Management system efficiencies for stakeholders across the business.
- Provide resource management support within assigned focus areas, including working alongside HR Business Partners to positively impact operational excellence.
- Assist on the identification of key risks for mitigation purposes, liaising with Business Excellence and other support teams as and when required.

- Experience managing projects, whether technology or business focused.
- Excellent judgement and discretion when handling confidential information.
- The flexibility to support senior leaders across our legal teams.
- A proven track record of implementing change and driving process or system improvements.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise competing demands and meet deadlines.
- A continuous improvement mindset, with the confidence to suggest more effective ways of working.
- A trusted and visible advisor.
- Strong IT skills, including advanced Excel and complex formulae (e.g. VLOOKUPs).
- A commitment to delivering high-quality work consistently and on time.
- Willingness to travel between office locations.
- Experience working in a multi-site organisation would be advantageous.
