About the role:

Coordinate and develop the promotional activity for On The Spot. Build lasting relationships with store owners & suppliers.

As the On The Spot Marketing & Promotions Coordinator, you’ll be responsible for planning and executing the banners marketing and promotional programme. You’ll work across promotions, social and digital channels, supplier activity, and in‑store marketing to grow brand awareness, strengthen customer engagement, and support sales growth. Reporting to the On The Spot Group Manager, you’ll work closely with store owners, managers, suppliers and internal category and advisory teams. This is a hands‑on role suited to someone who enjoys balancing creativity with commercial thinking and is confident communicating ideas, driving improvements and building strong relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and implement creative, market‑relevant promotional and marketing initiatives that drive customer awareness and engagement.
  • Manage the delivery of promotional activity to ensure strong sales uplift, market share growth, and appropriate margins.
  • Build and maintain relationships with Owners, Managers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with the internal category teams and procurement partners to support effective ranging and supply across all branches.

About you:

You’ll be organised, detail-focused and comfortable working in a fast-paced retail environment. You’re confident communicating with a wide range of stakeholders and can navigate feedback and challenge in a positive way. Ideally, you’ll also bring:

  • Experience in a grocery, retail or customer focused environment.
  • Strong administrative and organisational skills, with high attention to detail.
  • Ability to work with sales data and pricing information to support informed decisions.
  • An interest in promotions, brand development and placing a brand effectively in the market.
  • Some knowledge or experience with social media or promotional content.
  • The ability to influence, communicate effectively, share improvement ideas constructively while handling potential push back.
