Shift Supervisor - New World Ashburton

New World Ashburton is looking for an energetic, passionate Shift Supervisor to join our New World operations team.

This is a fast-paced role providing assistance to our Dry Goods Operations Manager in the day-to-day requirements of our overall store’s operations, including staff management and leadership in the absence of other managers and supporting with the overall merchandising of the entire store.

Overall store presentation is key and in the absence of store management you will effectively become accountable in maintaining the high standards set out by the store.

You will have a passion for superior customer service going beyond and above expectation every time and be adept in ensuring our culture of ‘one team’ continues to thrive through strong leadership skills and beliefs.

The skills and attributes required for this position are:

• Leadership experience or a natural leadership style who leads by example
• Common sense and initiative
• Tech Savvy
• Knowledge of or willing to learn NZ Food Hygiene and Safety standards
• A commitment to above expectation customer service
• Ability to prioritise and multitask to consistently meet deadlines
• Physically fit
• Ability to motivate, inspire and maintain a positive environment with a ‘one team’ culture
• Excellent presentation, communication and teamwork skills
• Forklift licence and F endorsement or the ability to obtain one

Days and hours:

Tuesday – Saturday 2pm – 11pm or Sunday – Thursday 2pm – 11pm
