Applications are welcome from candidates with a trade qualification and/or 6 months previous experience working as a baker.
You must love early morning starts and be able to work as part of a team. We have two positions available for suitably qualified bakers, with one starting in September and the other in December.
The successful applicant will need to have the desire to excel, the ability to use their initiative, and the drive and enthusiasm for the position. Reporting to the Bakery Manager you will be responsible for helping to ensure the department runs smoothly and all appropriate targets are met or exceeded.
Key tasks:
- Preparing, baking, finishing and merchandising products
- Assisting with the development and training of department staff and building a positive team culture.
Skills required for this position include:

- Commitment to follow Health & Safety and Food Safety programme requirements.
With a set roster and a minimum of 30 hours per week (normal week is 40 hours), the exact days will be discussed with shortlisted applicants. The hours of the role are 4am β 1.30pm. Both positions will include one weekend day. Pay range for the positions are from $29.00 - $32.00 per hour, depending on experience
