As Implementation Manager – Agriculture, Welfare & Sustainability - Poultry, you will combine deep specialist knowledge across animal welfare, agriculture, aquaculture, and environmental sustainability with analytical capability to deliver data-driven implementation support to customers and their suppliers globally. This role sits within Foods Connected's Professional Services function and is operationally focused, responsible for the day-to-day delivery of structured onboarding and implementation programmes and will be the lead technical consultant for poultry alongside support across the protein categories.

You will be the primary point of contact for customers and suppliers seeking to understand, configure, and act upon the welfare, compliance, and sustainability data available within the Foods Connected platform, translating complex reporting outputs into meaningful, actionable insights throughout the implementation lifecycle and beyond. In addition to your direct implementation responsibilities, you will work closely with the Head of Implementation, BI, and Product teams to ensure that welfare and compliance reporting capabilities are continuously developed, accurately represent specialist requirements, and deliver genuine value to customers at scale.

You will be expected to actively embrace AI tools and technologies to enhance the efficiency, consistency, and analytical depth of your implementation delivery and specialist service outputs.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Implementation Delivery & Customer Onboarding — 45%
    • Lead the end-to-end delivery of implementation programmes for assigned customers and their suppliers across welfare, agriculture, aquaculture, and sustainability workstreams, managing timelines, milestones, and stakeholder expectations throughout.
    • Act as the primary poultry specialist point of contact for customers and suppliers during the implementation phase, providing expert guidance on standards, regulatory requirements, and platform configuration.
    • Conduct onboarding sessions, training workshops, and consultative engagements with customer and supplier teams — translating complex welfare, agricultural, aquaculture, and environmental requirements into clear, practical actions within the Foods Connected platform.
    • Manage a portfolio of concurrent implementation projects, maintaining accurate progress tracking, documentation, and communication at all stages.
    • Identify and proactively resolve implementation challenges, escalating complex issues to the Head of Implementation where required.
    • Ensure all customers and suppliers complete implementation fully equipped to meet their compliance and reporting obligations, supporting a smooth handover to ongoing account management.
    • Maintain and contribute to the development of implementation documentation, onboarding guides, and specialist service templates.
  • Analytics, Reporting & Data Insights — 30%
    • Provide welfare and compliance reporting outputs, ensuring they accurately reflect specialist requirements and deliver meaningful insight to customers.
    • Work directly with customers during and post-implementation to configure, interpret, and optimise welfare, compliance, and sustainability reporting within the Foods Connected platform, translating data outputs into clear, commercially and operationally relevant narratives.
    • Design and develop customer-facing reporting frameworks and dashboard configurations that enable customers and their suppliers to monitor welfare and sustainability performance effectively.
    • Collaborate closely with the BI team to communicate specialist reporting requirements, contribute to the development of scalable analytics solutions, and ensure that platform data accurately captures the metrics that matter in welfare, agriculture, aquaculture, and sustainability contexts.
    • Partner with the Product team to provide specialist input into the development and enhancement of analytics and reporting features within the Foods Connected platform, ensuring welfare and compliance data is structured and surfaced in ways that drive customer value.
    • Identify opportunities to enhance the depth and quality of customer-facing data insights through the integration of new data sources, improved data capture methodologies, or advanced analytical techniques.
    • Utilise AI tools to enrich analytical outputs, automate reporting processes, and support the delivery of more consistent, efficient, and data-driven implementation experiences.
  • Specialist Knowledge & Customer Advisory — 15%
    • Provide authoritative subject matter expertise across poultry and other specialist disciplines — animal welfare, agriculture, aquaculture, or environmental sustainability — to customers, suppliers, and internal teams throughout the implementation lifecycle.
    • Advise customers and suppliers on current and emerging regulatory frameworks relevant to their operations, including UK/EU animal welfare legislation, environmental reporting requirements, and sustainability standards.
    • Stay current with developments in welfare science, agricultural policy, environmental legislation, and data reporting standards, maintaining the depth of expertise required to advise with confidence.
    • Contribute specialist knowledge to internal initiatives including product feedback, content development, and training material creation.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration — 10%
    • Work closely with Account Management and Professional Services colleagues to ensure seamless transitions between implementation and ongoing customer success.
    • Participate in internal project planning and review meetings, providing updates on implementation and analytics workstreams.
    • Support the Head of Implementation in the continuous improvement of implementation frameworks, analytics methodologies, and reporting best practices across the Agriculture, Welfare & Sustainability function.
    • Act as the bridge between the Agriculture, Welfare & Sustainability specialist team and the BI function, ensuring analytics requirements are clearly articulated and prioritised appropriately.
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, the Implementation Manager should have experience with:

Minimum Qualifications
  • Degree in Livestock Science, Animal Welfare, Agriculture, Aquaculture, Environmental Science, Sustainability, Data Science, or a related field; or equivalent demonstrated professional experience.
  • Proven practical experience in poultry supply chains, and one or more of animal welfare, agriculture, aquaculture, or sustainability compliance within the food industry or related supply chain context.
  • Demonstrated experience working with data reporting tools, dashboards, and compliance or sustainability data sets.
  • Strong working knowledge of UK and/or EU regulatory frameworks relevant to livestock, aquaculture, or environmental sustainability.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate technical, scientific, and data-driven content into clear, accessible guidance for diverse audiences.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Postgraduate qualification in a relevant specialist or data-related discipline.
  • Experience with BI or reporting platforms, particularly PowerBI, in a customer-facing or compliance reporting context.
  • Familiarity with digital traceability, sustainability, or supply chain compliance platforms.
  • Experience working in a professional services, consultancy, or customer-facing implementation environment.
  • Experience with AI tools and a proactive approach to adopting technology in specialist and analytical workflows.
Technical Skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365, including Excel and PowerPoint for customer-facing analytics and reporting outputs.
  • Experience with data visualisation and reporting tools, with PowerBI knowledge particularly advantageous.
  • Familiarity with CRM or project management platforms (e.g. Salesforce, Jira, or equivalent).
  • Ability to learn and confidently navigate the Foods Connected platform to support customer and supplier onboarding and reporting configuration.
  • Comfort interpreting and communicating compliance and sustainability data sets in a customer-facing context.
