We are looking for a Sales Development Representative (SDR) to help scale FoodOp to professional kitchens across the UK. Running a profitable and enjoyable foodservice business without sacrificing chef creativity is incredibly hard. FoodOp is on a mission to change that globally. More than 700 chefs across 550+ kitchens use FoodOp daily to manage recipes, menus, procurement, and reporting. As we expand into the UK, you’ll play a key role in our next stage of growth. The ideal candidate sees SDR as the first step toward a career as an enterprise SaaS Account Executive. NB: You must have full working rights in the UK.
About The Role
- Generate and qualify new leads through outbound prospecting across phone, email, social media, and events
- Research and identify ideal customer profiles within contract catering, hospitality, and public‑sector foodservice
- Book high‑quality discovery meetings for the Head of UK&I and sales team
- Collaborate on go‑to‑market strategy, sharing insights from conversations to improve messaging, segmentation, and targeting
- Maintain clean CRM hygiene (Zoho) with accurate activity tracking and lead qualification notes
- Represent FoodOp at industry events and meetings, acting as an early ambassador for our brand in the UK market
What We’re Looking For
- Have 1‑2 years of experience in B2B sales, business development, or lead generation (preferably SaaS or tech)
- Have a confident phone presence and the resilience to handle rejections
- Are comfortable running structured outbound outreach through cold calling, email, and LinkedIn
- Have a proactive, self‑starting mindset, motivated to build something new rather than inherit a finished playbook
- Thrive in a fast‑paced, high‑growth environment and enjoy taking ownership of projects with real impact
- Experience selling into hospitality, contract catering, and foodservice operations is a plus.
The role is on‑site in Shoreditch, London.
Ways of Working
You will be part of a small, high‑impact commercial team working across the UK. Decisions are made through dialogue and alignment, and we value curiosity, ownership, and continuous learning. As our new SDR, you’ll work closely with Jonathan Blauenfeldt Nielsen, Head of UK&I, who leads the expansion. You’ll also collaborate with Marketing, Product, and Customer Success as we build and refine our UK presence. This is one of the first roles in the London office, offering ownership, trust, and the ability to leave a real mark on how FoodOp grows in the UK.
How To Apply
We review applications on an ongoing basis, so please send your CV and a short note outlining why this role and FoodOp is a good fit for you. We care more about your ability to engage prospects, understand customer challenges, and create meaningful conversations than about the number of years you’ve worked in sales. We look forward to hearing from you!
