The Role
- Work Monday to Friday 8am-4.30pm
- Ensure compliance with UK legislation and customer codes of practices.
- Develop and organise food safety staff training across the business (in conjunction with HR and our external training resources).
- Ensure the QA team does a monthly internal audit and ensure all audits are completed.
- Record all non-conformities and customer complaints.
- Maintain the Quality Management System Manual of policies and procedures to ensure compliance with BRC v9.
- Support the Chair of HACCP and QA Meetings to ensure regular meetings and reviews.
- Support the Technical Manager when on leave.
- Check duties are undertaken by QA Assistant and other staff allocated to support the QA Team.
- Ensure Health & Safety guidelines are maintained at all times inclusive of HACCP.
- Manage plant and product swab and micro testing programme.
The Person
- Need food manufacturing experience in a similar role.
- Need some experience supervising a direct report (1 to start).
- Ideally hold HACCP and Hygiene to level 3.
- Ideally hold Internal Auditing qualification and experience.
- Able to start work earlier or start later one day a week to carry out spot checks.
