A well–established Engineering company based at a modern office and factory, boasting a customer base that includes some of the largest and most recognisable consumer brands in the world. This business has developed an envious reputation for providing market–leading Machinery and continues to innovate and supply best in class Machinery and Systems to its customers within the Global Food and FMCG sector.
The Role:
- Produce 2D & 3D Drawings that meet technical product specification standards.
- Calculate geometric tolerances.
- Liaise with customers directly and through the Project Sales Teams to identify exact requirements.
- Responsible for material selection, estimating costs for machine manufacture.
- Design for CNC manufacture.
- Correct highlighted flaws in designs and communicate with the manufacturing team to engineer pre‑production prototypes.
- Design a wide variety of machinery and systems including: Handling Systems, Filling Machines, Hygienic Systems, Dosing Equipment, Extruders, Cooling Tunnels and Mechanical Cutting Machinery, Ultrasonic Cutting Systems.
- Opportunity to visit sites to supervise machine installations, which could include Overseas travel.
The Person:
- At least 18 months experience in the use of 2D & 3D design software packages such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Vault and Inventor.
- Excellent attention to detail and a strong understanding of geometrical tolerances.
- Experience in the design of High Value Capital Equipment.
Salary and Benefits Package includes:
- Salary 40,000 pa – 51,000 per annum
- Bonus based on company performance
- Monday to Friday 37.5 hours per week
- 5–weeks Holiday + Bank Holidays
