Design Manager/Senior Design Engineer A rapidly growing engineering business that specialises in the manufacture of bespoke production equipment is looking for an experienced Design Manager/Senior Design Engineer to join their expanding team and lead a small group of design engineers.
Responsibilities for the Design Manager/Senior
Design
Engineer: Manage a team of 5 design engineers (mechanical and electrical).
Oversee the design process from concept to completion.
Work alongside your team and be hands-on in the production of designs.
Manage the workload of your team, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
Collaborate with other departments such as manufacturing, sales and projects, to ensure that designs meet customer needs and expectations.
Mentoring and coaching team members, promoting professional growth and development.
Applicant
Requirements: At least 5 years of experience in a machinery design environment.
Proficient in the use of Solid Works and/or Autodesk Inventor.
Excellent design calculation skills.
Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a team of engineers.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with other departments and stakeholders.
Working
Hours: Monday to Thursday – 8am to 4.30pm Friday – 8am to 1pm Salary & Benefits: Negotiable Basic salary (salary level dependent on skills and experience).25 Days Holiday + Bank Holidays.
