Summary

We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Account Executive (AE) to expand our Supplements Compliance and R&D Insights SaaS portfolio in the UK market. This is a hunter role — focused on building pipeline, acquiring new customers, and driving revenue growth. You will sell subscription-based SaaS platforms and professional services that help supplements companies navigate market entry regulatory requirements, substantiate health claims, and accelerate product development. Success in this role requires strong consultative selling skills, the ability to demonstrate ROI from SaaS solutions, and proven experience closing new business in recurring revenue models.

Key Responsibilities

  • Generate new business growth by prospecting, qualifying, and closing SaaS subscription deals with UK supplements and nutraceutical companies.
  • Lead end-to-end SaaS sales cycles, from initial discovery through tailored demonstrations, proposal development, contract negotiation, and closure.
  • Position FoodChain ID’s Supplements Regulatory Compliance and R&D Insights SaaS platforms as essential tools for achieving compliance, improving speed-to-market, and supporting innovation.
  • Build strong relationships with decision-makers in regulatory, quality, R&D, and commercial teams, tailoring solutions to their needs.
  • Collaborate with technical experts and regulatory specialists to deliver compelling, high-value presentations and demonstrations.
  • Partner with Marketing to refine go-to-market strategies for SaaS growth in the supplements sector.
  • Monitor competitor SaaS offerings, UK market dynamics, and regulatory trends to sharpen positioning and sales execution.
  • Ensure Salesforce CRM is used as the single source of truth, capturing all pipeline, subscription opportunities, and deal stages accurately.
  • Support the transition of new clients into Customer Success teams to drive renewals, expansions, and upsell opportunities.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Life Sciences, or a related field.
  • 3+ years’ experience in B2B SaaS sales, with a proven ability to manage recurring revenue sales cycles.
  • Strong track record of consistently achieving or exceeding quotas, including closing new business deals (£10k+ ARR).
  • Experience selling regulatory, compliance, or scientific SaaS solutions to food, beverage, or supplements companies preferred.
  • Knowledge of the UK supplements regulatory environment (e.g., FSA) highly desirable.
  • Skilled in Salesforce CRM and Microsoft Office applications.

Competencies & Skills

  • Demonstrated expertise in consultative SaaS sales, including solution mapping, ROI justification, and subscription-based value selling.
  • Ability to identify and engage senior decision-makers across regulatory, R&D, and commercial functions.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills; able to build trust and deliver win-win outcomes.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to align SaaS solution benefits to customer KPIs and growth goals.
  • Resilient and results-focused, with experience winning new business in competitive SaaS markets.
  • A natural networker who recognises opportunities to create long-term SaaS client partnerships.
  • Exceptional written and spoken English.

The role is located remotely in the UK.
