The Food Standards Agency (FSA) is a non‑ministerial department of over 1,300 people that drives change in the food system. As a Trainee Official Auxiliary (TOA) you will work with Official Auxiliaries to deliver high standards through:
- Ante‑ and post‑mortem inspections of animals
- Unannounced inspections of working practices across dedicated sites
- Collecting and dispatching samples for off‑site analysis
- Communicating with FSA team members and onsite staff to create the safest and healthiest factory environment
Our meat production systems in abattoirs are a vital point of contact between the FSA and the food industry, and your work will have an impact far beyond factory walls.
